Invitation to become a GFSC moderator¶

Hello! The GFSC moderation team is looking to recruit a few more moderators for the GFSC server and we would love to have you.

Moderation is mostly just about around when things happen and letting us take quick action. The main task is encouraging people to do introductions, then giving them the "approved" tag when they do. We get about 1 or 2 incidents a year that need some intervention, and we are getting an increasing number of spambots joining that just need swatting. There is no time requirement or minimum commitment here, you are not expected to be always on, we are just looking for a few more people we can @ when events do happen so we can make decisions better.

For clarity you have been invited to be a mod because you meet at least 3 out of 4 of the following criteria:

• Been active for at least 6 months
• Has helped out with something tangible (pull request, blog post)
• Is known to existing mods IRL
• Engages in conversations, has a positive vibe and generally contributes to community feeling
