Styleguide WIP¶

Feel free to add or suggest changes if you feel strongly about anything!

Author setup¶

Do set your author profile pic, bio and website.
The X and Facebook links are (sadly) hard coded into Ghost -- suggest we don't use/promote either. I would love to change these to Bluesky and Mastodon and am looking into it, if youre able to help do shout.

Make sure it has a featured image (set using link above the title)
Preferably a photograph, ideally your own content
Landscape format
It will probably be cropped in unpredictable ways so don't use anything with stuff around the edge that has to be there
This will be shown as the preview on social media so important!
Set the Excerpt - top right button to open menu. This should be a 2-3 sentence mysterious pracis that we will use to plug it on social media
Consider ending in a question for blog commenters
Flow into Ghost when ready but do not publish -- this will be managed by Kim

Use subheadings not bullets to structure things (bullet environment can go weird on mobile)
Use headings in order for accessibilty - i.e. h2 then h3
Do check for SPAG before uploading :)
Spell out acronyms the first time you use them
Sprinkle with more images if you have them
Linking things is good!
